F-16 crashes near Arizona Air Force base

Two pilots safely ejected before an F-16 crashed Wednesday night near Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Arizona, an Air Force spokeswoman told CNN.

Candice Dillitte, the chief of media relations for the base, said first responders were at the scene but Dillitte didn’t know how close to base the crash occurred.

There was no immediate word on casualties or damage on the ground.
