Meanwhile in Slovakia: MiG-29 Commute
Slovakia is a country in Europe sharing borders with Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and the Ukraine.
You’ve probably never heard of them, or the fact that they have 12 MIG-29 Fulcrums on standby. The country was part of the Soviet block, and in 2002 they established their own air force, which probably serves no serious pourpose right now other than to spend a percentage point of their budget.
So, with the crisis hitting Europe hard, do you think the MIGs are being kept in working order? Well, this one has everything going for it except it has no wings. This shot was supposedly taken in Banska Bystrica in Slovakia, and while it might seem strange to us, Borrat would probably understand.
