Exercise to boost flying activity at Robins

Exercise to boost flying activity at Robins

F-15 and Joint STARS flight activity at Robins Air Force Base will pick up considerably beginning Monday as a large force engagement training exercise kicks off.

Thirteen F-15s along with 172 pilots, maintainers, administrative and intelligence members from the 335th and 336th Fighter Squadrons at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, N.C., are here to participate with the locally-based Joint STARS unit. The North Carolina squadrons are at Robins due to closure of the Seymour Johnson runway.

Several other squadrons from throughout the Southeast will participate in activities that will end on June 15.
