Bell-Boeing lands $1.4B military contract for additional V-22s
The order is a $1,405,744,559 modification to a previous contract for 17 MV-22 aircraft for the U.S. Marine Corps and four CV-22 aircraft for the U.S. Air Force in fiscal 2013.
The modification provides funding for long lead components required for the manufacture and delivery of 19 MV-22 aircraft for the marine corps and three CV-22 aircraft for the air force in fiscal 2014.
The Bell-Boeing Joint Project Office is also being awarded a $33.5 million cost-plus-fixed-fee delivery order against a previously issued basic ordering agreement. This order provides for engineering and technical support for V-22 flight control system and on-aircraft avionics software, flight test planning and coordination of changed avionics and flight control configurations; upgrade planning of avionics and flight controls, including performance of qualification testing; and integration testing on software products.
