Iran modifies foreign military aircraft
The local press reported that IRIAF - Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force - has these days started the main phase of a four stage air drill, running tests on the missiles and ammunition; the lieutenant commander Abdul-Rahim Mousavi today said that Iranian experts are proceeding with optimisation works on foreign fighter jets.
The commander reported also that thanks to the additional skill and experience of Iranian experts, substantial improvements have been made to the aircraft, adding that "When the manufacturing countries of our planes see these fighter jets, they will be astonished by the variety and capabilities of these planes".
Among the aircraft used during the exercises, there are F-4, F-5, F-14, SU-24 bomber, the MiG-29, C-130 aircraft and the "Saeqeh", home-made fighter jet; the commander Mousavi said that most of the tests are held at night.
