Fly to the future ga meets aerospace technology

The Australian International Airshow 2007 will bring together pilots, owners and enthuslasts for the largest and most significant General Aviation event ever staged in Australia.

Discover the synergles between the technologies devised for the latest military metal and the development of GA in the 21st Century.

BEYOND THE SPEED OF SOUND!
2007 marks the 60th anniversary of the breaking of the sound barrier. The Australian International Airshow will salute those with the right stuff in a very special way.

It will pay tribute to the breaking of other barriers, scientific, industrial, commercial and social, that aviation has heralded – from the first flight to the part women have played in soaring through the glass ceiling.

Bring on the Military
Great armadas of combat aircraft will crowd the skies.

Again the Royal Australian Air Force will be here with its F-111 strike bombers, FA-18 Hornets, BAE Hawks and a host of support aircraft. The Royal Australian Navy and the Australian Army will also proudly display their potent range of winged warriors.

The United States Air Force has again signalled its participation in the event. 2007 marks the 60th anniversary of the formation of the USAF. Come join in the celebrations!

High Flying Highlights
Where the action never ends!

Be amazed as the world’s most skilful aerobatic pilots strut their daring stuff in a host of high-powered sports aircraft. Watch spellbound as they perform their breathtaking manoeuvres – rolls, twists and turns – to the cheers of the big crowd. Solo acts and group formations will star in a series of highly choreographed routines paying tribute to the barnstormers of old. Individual and formation parachute displays will also be a memorable feature of Airshow 2007.

Warbirds Set to Swoop
The unmistakable roar of the might Rolls Royce Merlin engine.

The great marques of World War Two – Spitfire and Mustang will play a spotlight role in a series of simulated combat re-creations paying tribute to the military aviators of all conflicts. Historic replicas will square up for a thrilling World War One “dog fight” as will the next generation of fighter aircraft from World War Two. Ground breaking aircraft from the Korean and Vietnam eras will also take part in the eye-catching flying displays.

Static Displays
Up close and personal!

The Airshow static and tarmac displays will feature almost a thousand aircraft of just about every style and size.

From the latest combat jets to experimental and historic aircraft this is your chance to get up close and personal with the aircraft and those who fly, own and restore them.

The Airshow also features a number of military and historic displays as well as a host of military vehicles, cannon and ground warfare technology.

Boeing Night Alight
The skies will simply sizzle!

The Boeing Night Alight spectacular is unique to the Australian International Airshow. It will be staged on the afternoon of Friday March 23rd and will continue well into the night. The event features the latest military heavy metal, warbirds and dazzling aerobatic acts. Showers of sparks and sheets of flame light up the darkness in this highly unforgettable Airshow display.
