Five people killed in Mi-8 crash in Khabarovsk Territory

The bodies of all five people killed in the Mi-8 helicopter crash in the Khabarovsk Territory have been found, the press service for the Emergency Situations Ministry's Main Department for the region told Interfax.

"The bodies have been found, The cause of death will be determined later," the ministry said.

The Mi-8 helicopter, which was owned by the Russian DOSAAF [Volunteer Society for Cooperation with the Army, Aviation, and Fleet] division for the Khabarovsk Territory, failed to contact the local Emergency Situations Ministry crisis management center at 9:50 p.m. on June 6.

The helicopter was on a commercial flight en route from the village of Tugur to the village of Briakan. It was carrying four crewmembers, one passenger, and some 3,000 tonnes of cargo (food and fish).

The burned debris of the helicopter were found 37 km northwest from the village named after Polina Osipenko at 4:00 a.m. Moscow time on Saturday.
