FRANCE
France's 13th Foreign Legion Demi-Brigade and 5e RIAOM are currently stationed in Djibouti.
Army 1,690 personnel; 1 (Foreign Legion) BG with ( 1 engr coy, 1arty bty, 2 recce sqn, 2 inf coy); 1 (Marine) combined armsregt with ( 1 engr coy, 1 arty bty, 2 recce sqn, 2 inf coy)
Navy: 1 LCT
Air Force; 1 Air sqn with 10 Mirage 2000C/D; 1 C-160 Transall; 3 SA-342 Gazelle; 7 SA-330 Puma; 1 AS-555 Fennec; 1 SA-319 Alouette III
JAPAN
Currently, approximately 170 soldiers of the JGSDF and the JMSDF are currently stationed in Djibouti, with their base and naval port recently opening in July 2011. JSDF soldiers are based in the "Japanese Facility for Counter-Piracy Mission in Djibouti." and are planned to be based in Djibouti for 10 years as a relay station for any JSDF deployment in East Africa.
UNITED STATES
There is also Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa, a U.S. force of more than 3,500, currently deployed in the country at Camp Lemonnier
