While the fighter fleet remains centered on Chinese-origin F-7 platforms, the Command has prioritized maintenance and training partnerships with China and Italy. The Army and Air Defence Command operate in close coordination, a synergy developed through lessons learned from Tanzania's contribution to the UN Force Intervention Brigade in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. National situational awareness is further bolstered by the Seeker ISR platform, providing persistent monitoring of borders against non-state threats such as poaching and terrorism.
