Final C-17A Globemaster III Delivered to Indian Air Force
Boeing delivered its final C-17A to the Indian Air Force on August 26 when the airlifter touched down at Hindon Air Force Station, Ghaziabad.
The Globemaster III is the 11th example delivered to No 81 Squadron ‘Skylords’. The C-17A was among the last 10 ‘white tails’ produced by Boeing at company expense and had been stored at the contractor’s San Antonio, Texas, facility. On March 30, 2018, Boeing received a $262-million Foreign Military Sales (FMS) to deliver the aircraft to India, which is the largest international operator of the aircraft.
