During the last couple of days, 455th Air Expeditionary Wing Public Affairs released a lot of stunning pictures, all taken by Capt. Raymond Geoffroy at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, in late June 2012.

Pictured are A-10Cs from the 184th Fighter Squadron, 188th Fighter Wing (Arkansas ANG), and from the 104th Fighter Squadron, 175th Wing (Maryland ANG), currently combat-deployed to the 455th AEW in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Here are the first pictures, more photos will be uploaded soon.

Several U.S. Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt IIs taxi prior to a mission at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, June 30, 2012. Bagram’s A-10s fly daily to provide constant close-air support to NATO and Afghan ground forces operating in Afghanistan. (U.S. Air Force photo by Capt. Raymond Geoffroy)

An U.S. Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II assigned to the 104th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron, flies past a U.S. Air Force MC-12 Liberty assigned to the 4th Expeditionary Reconnaissance Squadron, while taking off at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, June 28, 2012. The 455th Air Expeditionary Wing's motto 'Quaerimus et Perdimus' (Seek and Destroy) represents its commitment to providing reconnaissance and attack capabilities to coalition ground forces in Afghanistan. Pictured should be A-10C 78-0693 from the 104th Fighter Squadron, and not 78-0683 which is also deployed from the 104th FS.
