USAF F-15E crashes in Southwest Asia
An U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle crashed May 3 at 11:40 a.m. local time while conducting a routine training mission.
Both crew members ejected safely. First responders have responded to the scene and more details will be released as they become available.
Strike Eagles are dual-role fighters that perform air-to-air and air-to-ground missions.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
A United States Air Force McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle crashed during a routine training mission somewhere in the Persian Gulf region, United Arab Emirates.
The aircraft belonged to the 366th Fighter Wing "Gunfighters" and deployed from Mountain Home AFB, Idaho.
